is the square root of 2

I'm just thinking if someone can give me a few pointers here so that I can understand the concepts behind is the square root of 2. I find solving equations really difficult. I work in the evening and thus have no time left to take extra classes. Can you guys suggest any online resource that can assist me with this subject?

Well I do have a suggestion for you. There used to be time when even I was stuck on problems relating to is the square root of 2, that’s when my younger sister suggested that I should try Algebrator. It didn’t just solve all my queries, but it also explained those solutions in a very nice step-by-step manner. It’s hard to believe but one night I was actually crying because I would miss yet another assignment deadline, and a couple of days from that I was actually helping my classmates with their homework as well. I know how strange it might sound, but really Algebrator helped me a lot.

When I was in school , I faced similar problems with multiplying fractions, quadratic equations and radical inequalities. I remember having often faced difficulties with side-angle-side similarity, factoring and equivalent fractions. A really great piece of math program is Algebrator software. By simply typing in a problem from workbook a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many math classes – Algebra 1, Basic Math and Intermediate algebra. I greatly recommend the program.
