Hello Math Gurus! I am a novice at answers to algebra problems. I seem to understand the lectures in the class well, but when I start to solve the questions at home myself, I commit mistakes. Does anyone know of any resource where I can get my solutions checked before submitting them for grading? Or any resource where I can get to see a step by step solution?

Your story sounds familiar to me. Although I was great in algebra for several years, when I attended Algebra 2 there were a lot of algebra topics that seemed so complicated . I remember I got a very bad grade when I took the exam on answers to algebra problems. Now I don't have this problem anymore, I can solve anything quite easily , even radicals and graphing equations. I was lucky that I didn't spend my money on a teacher , because I heard of Algebrator from a student . I have been using it since then whenever I stumbled upon something hard .

I found out a some software programs that are appropriate. I verified them . The Algebrator seemed to be the best suitable one for scientific notation, distance of points and inverse matrices. It was also easy to manage. It took me step by step towards the answer rather than only giving the answer . That way I got to learn how to work out the problems too. By the time I was done with it , I had learnt how to explain the problems. I found them useful for College Algebra, Remedial Algebra and Algebra 2 which aided me in my algebra classes. May be, this is just the thing for you . Why not try this out?

A great piece of math software is Algebrator. Even I faced similar problems while solving hyperbolas, quadratic formula and roots. Just by typing in the problem from homework and clicking on Solve – and step by step solution to my math homework would be ready. I have used it through several math classes - Algebra 1, Pre Algebra and Basic Math. I highly recommend the program.
